Dr. Katja Leicht

Dr Katja Leicht studied nutrition science at Potsdam University. After a foreign research visit to Australia she worked on various projects at the German Institute of Nutrition Research (DIfE), and as a nutritionist within a doctor’s practice. From 2003 to 2009 she was on the academic staff at DIfE in the Pharmacology department, and during this time she completed her thesis on candidate genes for obesity in mice. In 2009 Katja Leicht became an academic staff member/aide at the Bio-economy Council, and deals specifically with the field of animal innovation.
